Rip Songs from iTunes
Hot Recorder for Music (www.hotrecorder.com) converts
songs you've purchased on iTunes into MP3 or WAV files, so you can play
them on any MP3 player. Click the Options menu, choose Preferences, and
pick which format you wish to use (MP3 or WAV). If you choose MP3,
you'll also need to decide on a bit rate. Lastly, assign a file
extension ( e.g., MP3) and click the Save It button.
Drag
the tunes you wish to convert from the left window to the right and
click the Convert button. The conversion occurs in real time, meaning a
five-minute song takes five minutes to convert - so you should avoid
running any math-intensive software at the same time.
Rip Music from any Source
ReplayMusic ( www.applian.com ) strips DRM from
the music you purchased or rent, so you can listen to it on any other
player. Click Settings and set Sound Card as your input source on the
Input tab. Choose "automatically split tracks" on the Splitting tab,
and "record to MP3s" on the Output tab. Choose your bit rate, select
both automatic tagging options, and click OK.
Launch your streaming application and queue up the songs you'd like to
record. Go back to Replay Music, click Start Recording, and commence
streaming. At the end of the queue, Replay Music will analyze the
tracks, and tag each one with the song title, artist name, album, and
genre gleaned from Gracenote.<
