Knoppix

1. Burn the .iso file to a CD, make sure you make the disc boot-able. Do NOT use Windows XP's own burning program, it does not burn .iso files to a working CD. Instead, use something like Nero Burning Rom, Roxio CD Creator, or ISO Recorder Power Toy, which will all burn ISO images. Many CD Burners come with a program that can handle the ISO format.

2. When the CD is done, re-boot your computer and go to the BIOS by tapping F1 or F2 or DEL or even Esc button depending on your computer manufactor. Once in the BIOS use the up & down, left & right arrow keys to move to the “BOOT” or anything named “boot order” then make the CD-ROM the first choice.

3. Save BIOS settings and boot the computer with Knoppix CD inside drive.

4. If all goes well, Knoppix should start, allow it to load (you should see: black background different color text) you can let it load itself to your system's memory.

5. After it's done, start using the Knoppix, it's almost like Windows. Choose a program and use it, etc...

6. You will find that one big noticeable change is the names of the different programs or anything in this world. I can help were I can through e-mail. I suggest reading the Program Help Function and read books and surf the Net. There are a lot of other people out there willing to help. I'm thinking Forums.
