Alert 12052006

There is a new scam going around where you may get a "Mail Server Report" saying your computer may be infected by a worm. The Subject line is "Mail server report." and the email looks fairly official. It has an attached ".ZIP" file that says you should open the attachment to eliminate worms. Do not open the .ZIP, delete the file immediately. Do not get sucked in; no legitimate service operates in this manner. An example of the bogus email is below:

"Mail server report.

Our firewall determined the e-mails containing worm copies are being sent from your computer.

Nowadays it happens from many computers, because this is a new virus type (Network Worms).

Using the new bug in the Windows, these viruses infect the computer unnoticeably.
After the penetrating into the computer the virus harvests all the e-mail addresses and sends the
copies of itself to these e-mail addresses

Please install updates for worm elimination and your computer restoring.

Best regards,
